Will I need to schedule a time to have your company come out and bid my job? No. 99% of our jobs are bid over the phone. We have a very high turn-around and the only way for Sterlyn to give bids is to leave the job he is presently working on. Acoustic removal is pretty straight-forward and there are usually no hidden costs so the bid we give you over the phone is usually very close to the actual cost. Sterlyn will come out and bid your job if you feel it is absolutely necessary. How long will it take to remove the acoustic and retexture my home? In most cases, one day! When can I get an appointment? Please call as far in advance as possible. We do have schedule changes so short notice appointments can usually be accommodated. Is there a minimum square footage requirement for me to book an appointment with your company? No. If your job is smaller, we may offer you an afternoon appointment instead of a morning spot.
Yes. Bull-nozing prices are based upon the number of corners. Other drywall repair projects will require a bid. If you are having sub-contractors work in your home, such as an electricians, please have them save the pieces of drywall for patching later on. Please notify us in advance if we will be doing any type of repair work. Is your company licensed and bonded? Yes. Sterlyn's Custom Textures License Number is #764240. Feel free to contact the CA State Licensing Board. A copy of any other documents is available upon request. Do you have local references? Yes. Please e-mail us and we can provide you with the names and phone numbers of many satisfied customers! If you are not on-line, please call us at 909-676-7747 and we can provide them over the phone. Why do so many homes have acoustic? It was cheaper for the contractor to use. The material is sprayed on and does not require paint. Why should I remove the acoustic? Many people remove the acoustic for aesthetic purposes. There are some people that find the acoustic a harbor for germs, bacteria, and dirt making it a health hazard. Can I do the job myself? Sure, but we do not suggest it. The acoustic can be messy to work if you do not have the proper tools. If the underlying drywall is torn during the removal process, it must be repaired properly or bubbling will occur. If you are trying to complete a project like this on a week-end, chances are it will turn into something even Bob Vila couldn't handle! When your company leaves, is the job completely done? No. The ceiling must dry for 48 hours then be primed and painted. Does your company do the painting? Yes.
